Coaching.

One of the goals of coaching in organizations is to encourage behavioral change and growth in the coachee for the economic benefit of their business (the ultimate client).2 Coaching encourages coaching clients to slow down in order to gain awareness and notice the effects of their conversations and actions. On a broader scale, the best coaching fosters cultural change for the benefit of the entire organization. It provides a disciplined way for businesses to deepen relationships with their team members while also increasing team member effectiveness. This has the potential to lead to higher levels of engagement, productivity, and retention.

There is typically opportunity to ensure leaders at all levels receive quality coaching that enhances performance, builds leadership capability aligned to the business strategy, and provides greater return on investment in relation to productivity, engagement, and retention. This begins with clarity of purpose and intention.

We use an ontological approach in our coaching in that we coach to the whole vs. just an issue. This is an extraordinarily powerful method for effecting change at the individual, team, or organization level. The reason it is so effective is because at its foundation is a deeply grounded and practical understanding of language, moods and conversations for behavioral and cultural transformation.

Our approach includes the three alignment sessions with the participant’s leader; one at the beginning, one at the middle and one at the end of the coaching engagement. Tools used throughout the engagement include:

  • Assessments

  • Development plan/Coaching Plan

  • Exercises and applied practices to effect desired behavior change/create new ways of ‘being’

  • Evaluation of progress to plan

  • Final evaluation at the end of the engagement to discern overall impact
